Because this sculpture is made of polyresin with a delicate, textured finish, it requires gentle handling to prevent chipping or fading.
Follow these guidelines to clean and maintain your figurine:
Regular Cleaning
- Dusting : Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a feather duster to remove surface dust weekly.
- Crevices : Use a soft-bristled makeup brush or an unused paintbrush to gently clear dust from the textured inner ring and the grooves of the dancer figurine.
- Avoid Water : Do not wash the statue under running water or submerge it, as moisture can trap itself in porous resin layers and damage the finish.
Deep Cleaning (If Needed)
- Damp Wipe Only : If the sculpture becomes sticky or heavily soiled, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth with plain water. Wipe the area gently.
- Dry Immediately : Follow up immediately with a dry cloth to ensure no water marks or moisture residue remain on the gold-coated surface.
- No Harsh Chemicals : Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, alcohol, or chemical solvents, as they will strip the metallic gold finish and erode the matte black paint.
Placement & Handling
- Sunlight Protection : Position the sculpture away from direct, harsh sunlight to prevent the black resin from fading or the golden finish from discoloring over time.
- Lift by the Base : Always lift and move the piece by holding its solid block base . Avoid picking it up by the circular ring or the delicate limbs of the gymnast, as these areas are prone to snapping under pressure.
