Care & Maintenance Instructions
Cleaning & Washing
- Spot Clean Only: Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe down the fabric and brim.
- Do Not Submerge: Never throw the cap into a washing machine or submerge it in water, as this will permanently destroy the internal circuit board and battery.
- Keep Electronics Clear: Keep water completely away from the front LED housing and the charging port.
Battery & Charging
- Use Correct Cable: Charge only using the provided USB cable attached to a standard 5V power source.
- Avoid Overcharging: Unplug the cap once fully charged to protect and extend the long-term lifespan of the battery.
- Storage Charge: If you store the cap away for long periods (e.g., between camping trips), charge it to about 50–70% first rather than leaving it completely dead.
Storage & Handling
- Keep Dry: Store the cap in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Handle with Care: Avoid dropping the cap on hard surfaces to prevent cracking the LED casing or loosening the internal motion sensor wiring.
